Where is the FNUCI marking code located on a bicycle?
The FNUCI code, also known as the marking code, is a unique 10-character alphanumeric identifier. It is assigned by an authorized operator when the bike is marked. This code is usually written on a label attached to the bike frame.
Is it possible to register a bike without immediately identifying the owner?
The "pre-registration" function allows you to record the characteristics of a bike (make, model, type, color, electric or not) without immediately associating an owner. This step is useful for preparing the bike's identification before it is sold.
Please note! Pre-registered bikes are not yet registered in the FNUCI, and their information remains modifiable until they are registered. Once an owner is associated and the bike is registered in the national file, the data becomes fixed and can no longer be modified without going through the support.
